    Filipe Carvalho won a 2018 EMMY AWARD for outstanding main title design for the series COUNTERPART

    As a professional Graphic Designer and Film and Television Director with over two decades of experience, he has worked with the most prestigious American studios and TV channels in the past decade.

    He started his career as a Graphic Designer and Creative Director at Portuguese Design agencies, later becoming Creative Director and Director at the Até ao Fim do Mundo production company.

    While at Até ao Fim do Mundo, he embarked on a career as Designer and Director for the American Film and TV market, being responsible for the main titles of series such as Game of Thrones (HBO), The Americans (FX), Gypsy (Netflix), Taboo (BBC/FX), The Leftovers (HBO), and films such as The Amazing Spiderman 2 (Marvel), Thor 2 (Marvel), Dr. Strange (Marvel), The Light Between Oceans (Derek Cianfrance).

    As a Director, he created works for Semi Permanent 2016, the biggest cultural event in Australia (backed by Google), and the main titles forAGI Open, the Alliance Graphique Internationale’s elite Design Conference.

    Since 2013, he has been a guest speaker at international festivals and conferences such as ESAD 2013, Indie Lisboa 2013, CCP Semana Criativa 2015, OFFF Barcelona 2015, FITC Amsterdam 2016, Semi Permanent 2016; and widely featured in the press: SIC, Público, Meios e Publicidade, Visão, Dinheiro Vivo.

    He partnered with Até ao Fim do Mundo to open Foreign Affairs, a design studio based in Lisbon, where he continues his work for American film and television.
